Supporting the
Global Peace Initiative of Women

Jaipur Summit, India ~ March 6-10, 2008

Making Way for the Feminine
for the benefit of the World Community

This global summit will bring together some of the most extraordinary women leaders from around the world; senior women religious and spiritual leaders, men and women from business, government and civil society, and a special delegation of young community leaders and professionals.

We will gather together to create a foundation for global transformation, built of the many and varied experiences, understanding and wisdom of each participant; and a nourishing environment within which participants can find something special to take home with them to make a difference in their own communities.

During the five days of the summit we will explore six themes through plenary sessions, working groups and small roundtable sessions, through times of inner reflection, silence and spiritual practice, and through the presence and interaction of remarkable and inspiring women and men.

These themes are:

  • Visionary leadership, leadership that can help shift thought and behaviour
  • Oneness, the force that unifies all creation; what happens to one part, one individual, one eco system, affects all others
  • Ahimsa and Satyagraha (Sanskrit words for “nonviolence” and “holding to truth”), a way of being and living that is in keeping with the highest values
  • Self-Evolution, or Education of the Complete Person, seeks to develop in young people more than material and intellectual skills, and provides the foundation for balanced and healthful living
  • Creating an Economy of Care, Redefining Progress and Development, are essential to bridge the growing gap between rich and poor, to use the Earth’s resources more wisely and reverse the environmental decline
  • Listening to the Earth, Honoring Earth’s Life Systems to regain understanding of the life force that sustains our planet and its inhabitants
