About us

Ann & Brenton Phillis founded the Living Heart Center as a focus for sharing information, education, service and global community of heart. The Center is run on a not-for-profit basis, seeking to make the path of living heart available to all.

The work we do is an expression of our deep understanding of spiritual life and the new awakening of heart consciousness, and of the unique and exciting opportunities facing all of us in the world today. We are dedicated to the unfoldment of the heart and living flow of light, to awaken global heart and true peace.

We seek to share our extensive experience of transformative and heart-awakening energy work, deep knowledge of the divine wisdom and insights of the new heart-wisdom that we receive, integrated into the realities of life today.

We honour our teacher Ananda Tara Shan, with whom we had the privilege of 20 wonderful years of personal training and education in the divine wisdom and new teachings of the heart, Maitreya Theosophy. We are members of the universal brother-sisterhood that she founded, The Theosophical Fellowship, which is dedicated to peace in the world through education and service, and to the unfoldment of the way of the heart and loving light of Maitreya, great Master of heart.

We are ordained ministers in the Church of the Resurrected Life, established by Ananda for Earth healing work and service of the heart. We are certified practitioners and teachers of Udâna healing and therapy with the 7 Rays, an indepth system for personal energy transformation given to Ananda Tara Shan, who personally trained us in these techniques.

Ann has written two books, Path of Living Light, and Cosmic Heart Flow, Personal Choice, new teachings about the heart consciousness, the changes in consciousness on Earth, and the path of living light. Many of the teachings come from Master DK and other masters of the Spiritual Hierarchy. The books are published through Temple Garden Trust, which we founded for this purpose in 2003. Passages from the books are available through Sea of Gold, or you can purchase the books through our shop.

Ann is passionate about creating positive change in the world. She has a science degree and post graduate studies in education. In addition to her spiritual writing and teaching, Ann works in international development and business reform to create positive change.

Brenton has a background in social policy and human service management. He has taught and written about spiritual subjects for over 20 years in Australia, the USA, and Europe. As well as teaching and writing, he currently works as a development consultant in Aboriginal health.
